Abyssinian Crisis: 1st Half-Platoon Mehal Sefari - Conversions Part 2

As it turned out, the Wolseley helmets of Perry unfortunately do not fit to the figures of Copplestone and Empress - the Perry figures and accordingly their helmets are simply too delicate and do not look suitable on the filed heads.
This can be seen well on the photos of part 1, so I started again from scratch.

The basic problem with the figures of regular Ethiopian units is that, in theory, the majority wore European-style uniforms, but the wearing of shoes was forbidden, except for a few officers.
It was believed that shoes would reduce the mobility of Ethiopian soldiers.

I already presented the possible figures in part 1 - the boys became completely headless for a short time and then got heads fitted by Woodbine, in the majority such with the Wolseley helmet - here is a selection:

The additional carrier of the spare magazines for the Lewis-LMG I had already shown in part 1, on him I accordingly only shaped the belt and modeled the closure of the lower magazine pocket.

On the two original Lewis Gunners I amputated the legs underneath the shorts and the leg wraps and replaced them with suitably machined plastic legs from the Perrys' Sudan box - quite a fiddly job, but more convincing in terms of appearance than filing off the shoes and carving in toes.

With this I have enough converted and original figures for a complete platoon including two LMGs and can concentrate completely on painting for the next time.

As soon as the platoon is finished, the options like MMG and LMG on truck will be added, which will again require a lot of conversion work, since there are logically no finished models.
But I already have some suitable conversion candidates in mind.
