Terrain: Pimping a Sarissa building for North America - Part 2

For our games in the settings ACW, AWI and Western Skirmishes etc. I need more buildings and the first one is finished.

Originally a kit from Sarissa I rebuilt and pimped it so that in the end only the core is original.
The chimney has been completely rebuilt from Styrodur, walls and the floor of the veranda got a plank structure, the windows are glazed and the roof has been completely new covered with single shingles made from balsa wood.

Pastel crayons were also used for painting and weathering, especially for the planks of the veranda, in order to imitate the typical lively wood tones.

All in all very time consuming, but I think it was worth it in the end.

Deutscher Text:

SiD/DHM: Start of a Chinese posse

Just as a little excursion - you know I like varied 😎 - and because of a thread in the German forum Tabletopwelt.de, here is the start of a Chinese Posse for Western skirmishers like Shootout in Dingstown (or SiD for short) and Dead Man´s Hand (DHM).

First 4 miniatures cleaned up and primed:

And the completed miniatures:

Needed more time as usual cause I wanted to try and practice some (more or less) new painting techniques like Blending, NMM and many many more.

More time consuming, but better results if you at least mastered these techniques - I have to practise a lot, to say at least 😉

Western: Sheriff Jimjohn

No ACW this time, but not far away, both in terms of time and location - a sheriff of a small provincial town named Dingstown.

I bought this miniature at the CONflict Rheinland from Axel at his Dingstown table.
It represents Sheriff Jimjohn, who guides the reader through Axels Dingstown rules, intended for Western (and more, we even used them for Colonial and Colonial-Horror setups) skirmish games, like Ragnar through SAGA.
The miniature is cast very cleanly, so it hardly needs time to clean it and is really nicely modeled.

My Jimjohn was not supposed to get the usual leather cloak, instead I opted for one made of Indian wool, and he's supposed to be a Civil War veteran still wearing his blue cavalry blouse - so a little bit it stays close to the ACW; -)
