TaToCon 11 in Puchheim, near Munich

The last few days and weeks have been dominated by the final preparations for our Chain of Command Participation Game at TaToCon 11 in Puchheim, organised by Roll-the-dice, which took place last Saturday.

There were many beautiful and lovingly designed tables to marvel at and, as always, you didn't get to test any of the games on offer as you could hardly get away from your own table - there was hardly any time for more than a chat with your fellow players.

We were able to offer some games of CoC to take part and received nothing but positive feedback and our gaming group will include a few more players in the future - an extremely positive result!

There was even no opportunity to play CoC for myself, as I was busy running and umpiring our games all the time, but I had a lot of fun anyway as all the players were relaxed throughout the day.

Wüstengelände für die Spielpräsentation des THS für die CONflict 2018.

Unsere Spielepräsentation auf der Conflict 2018 wird aus 2 Teilen bestehen.

Zum Einen wird es eine Feldschlacht nach den Black Powder Regeln geben, bei der französische Truppen der Expedition Napoleons in Ägypten sich bei den Ausgrabungen gegen angreifende Mameluken verteidigen müssen. Zum Anderen wird es ein Gruppenabenteuer geben, daß in entdeckten Katakomben spielen wird - Regeln sind hier die zur CONflict erscheinenden "Shootout in Dingstown" von Axel.

Mein Part waren 2 Geländestücke für das Schlachtfeld zu bauen, passend zur Thematik Ausgrabungen in der Wüste, gepaart mit ein paar einheimischen Ausgrabungshelfern.

Die Statuen von Sphinx und Nofretete waren einmal touristische Mitbringsel, die wie im Fall der Nofretete dann zerschlagen ... ich meine natürlich passen zerkleinert worden und dann bemalt worden sind.

Die Sandhügel bestehen aus Styrodur, Spachtel und Sand, die Bretterverschalung und Leitern aus Balsaholz, daß ich gebeizt und mit Highlights versehene habe und die Ausgrabungshelfer stammen von Wargames Foundry.

Mittlerweile bin ich (nur) im Sweetwater aus dem Kölner Raum darauf hingeweisen worden, daß die Farbe Grün bei Kaftanen ausschließlich religiösen Würdenträgern vorbehalten ist und meine Figur entsprechend einen extremen Fauxpas darstellt, der unbedingt behoben werden müsse ...

Wargames Show: Conflict Rheinland 2017

Und schon ist sie wieder Geschichte - die Conflict 2017

Es war eine rundum gelungene Premiere und endlich wieder eine Wargames Show im Rheinland!
Es gab hervorragende Präsentationen, man traf alte und neue Bekannte und alles war wirklich perfekt organisiert inkl. der Verpflegung - dafür den Organisatoren um Thorsten und Thorsten herum auch an dieser Stelle nochmals vielen Dank und Respekt, es war wirklich klasse!

And it is already history again - Conflict 2017.

It was a completely successful premiere and finally a wargames show in the Rhineland again!
There were excellent presentations, one could met old and new acquaintances and everything was really perfectly organized including the food - for the organizers around Thorsten and Thorsten again a big thank you and my deepest respect, it was really a great show!


Wir waren mit einem Demo-Spiel aus unserem Abessinien-Setting vertreten und überall gab es tolles Gelände und erstklassig bemalte Figuren zu bestaunen und auch an der Geldbörse ging die Show nicht spurlos vorbei, dank der anwesenden Händler, deren Angebote es fast unmöglich machten, sich nicht die ein oder andere Figur, Panzer etc. zuzulegen.

We were represented with a demo game from our Abyssinia setting and everywhere there was great terrain and first-class painted figures to admire and also at the wallet the show did not pass without a trace, thanks to the dealers, whose offers made it nearly impossible not to buy the one or the other figure, tank etc.
