SAGA: Slingers again!

The last slingers for my Kerns, the last 4 missing miniatures to complete the two units of my Kerns will have a bow each - you know, for variety 😉

Miniatures are from Footsore again - nice sculpts, clear casts, simply a joy!

I had been thinking about starting with Infinity together with Dirk for a while, but we had been able to slow down for a long time because we already have too many projects going on.

But as is the case with Wargamer-ADHS, at some point the resistance subsides and you follow the inner seductive voices 😎

And so over the next few weeks and months, there will also be posts on the topic of Infinity and because the background story has captivated me, I had to buy at least some books in addition to the starter box "Icestorm" added by some additional miniatures - the hobby budget for the next 6 months has been used up 👀

As I have already described, I will also fill in my two units of slingers with figures armed with javelins and bows just to show the rather irregular status of these units.

Not just another addition to my Irish Kerns, but a fantastic sculpted one too!

Miniature is from Warlord Games Celts for their SPQR range but will blend in perfectly to my slingers - the pose is really spectacular, pointing the enemy and (hopefully) frightening him: You are the next! - or as we say in Germany: Du bist der Nächste!

Do I have to say it was a joy to paint? 😉

The next 4 Irish Kerns, Footsore Miniatures again and again a joy to paint them: The poses are great, they are cleanly casted so that you don´t need much time make them ready for painting.

SiD/DHM: Start of a Chinese posse

Just as a little excursion - you know I like varied 😎 - and because of a thread in the German forum Tabletopwelt.de, here is the start of a Chinese Posse for Western skirmishers like Shootout in Dingstown (or SiD for short) and Dead Man´s Hand (DHM).

First 4 miniatures cleaned up and primed:

And the completed miniatures:

Needed more time as usual cause I wanted to try and practice some (more or less) new painting techniques like Blending, NMM and many many more.

More time consuming, but better results if you at least mastered these techniques - I have to practise a lot, to say at least 😉

SAGA: The priest is coming to bolster the Irish!

Of course, my Irish also need a priest for their soul healing - and here he is, ready to banish all adversaries directly and without detours into to hell!

Miniature is Pater Beocca (the one and only from Bernard Cornwells series "The Saxon Stories" or Uhtred-Saga, as it is known here in Germany) and comes from Stronghold Terrain.
