Warmaster Revolution: Original Chaos Spawn from Citadel and Abomination from Ankylo Miniatures

Recently I had the opportunity to buy a blister of Chaos Spawns, original from Games Workshop from the early 2000s, the price on the blister was still in DM!
Excitingly, I was able to buy the blister from a Spaniard at a more than fair price, who had bought it in Germany at the time 😂

Until I build my army of Beastmen, they serve together with an Abomination from Ankylo Miniatures as Deamon Beasts in my demon army.

"Hell on Wheels" - US 2nd Armored Division in 15mm: M10 Wolverines

Next part of "Project 2nd Armoured" is finished - four M10 Wolverine tank destroyers ready to go on the hunt for the big cats.

The kits are from Battlefront Miniatures and I even have the option to build separate turrets for the Late War M36 Jackson with his powerful 90mm gun.
Stowage is Battlefront and PSC, but most of it are self-printed 3D files (and in the case of the crates with the baguettes and wine these are different STL´s I combined in a 3D program), the antennas are made from guitar wire, sandbags, bedrolls and tarps I made from Greenstuff.

To hold the stowage at the front of the tanks the crews often used what was available locally and in this case I made the holders from a model railway track.

The 4 completed Wolverines:

The successful commander of the troop - at least regarding gathering supplies 😅

I wonder which well-filled wine cellar the Germans had overlooked?

It seems the crew of this Wolverine stopped by a bakery!

The other two Wolverines:

"Hell on Wheels" - US 2nd Armored Division in 15mm: Start of my M10 Wolverines

After my little excursion into the fantasy genre with Warmaster Revolution, I'm going back to the historical genre:

M10 Wolverine tank hunter for my US 2nd Armoured.
It seems that the guys were quite successful in "organising" supplies 😎😂

M10´s are Battlefront Miniatures with perfect fit of all the parts and that was a joy to assemble, stowage is Battlefront and 3D printed ones; the crates with the Baguettes and Wine Bottles are assembled in Chitubox from different STL´s, the sand bags and tarps are again self-made from Greenstuff.

Warmaster Revolution: The Great Unclean One to command them all!

The Great Unclean One is ready to personally command my army of a wild mixture of different kind of demons 💪

My first attempt to implement the NMM technique on a larger object, in this case the sword.
The example for this is a sword from a dungeon of the game Dark Age of Camelot, more precisely a twilight weapon from Spindelhalla - I had played DAoC more than intensively from its release until the end of the European servers 😎

I cast the little puddles of poison out of clear resin that I colored with a little light green and then dried with a UV lamp.

Printed with my Elegoo Mars 2P using Ameralabs TGM-7 Resin, the fantastic STL is designed by Varusminiatures.

AAR: Operation Husky with Chain of Command: US Airborne vs. Italian Fucileri

Yesterday I finally had the opportunity to play Chain of Command again.

I could field my US Airborne and my gaming partner mustered his platoon of Italian Fucileri.
This resulted in the only possible setting: Operation Husky, the Allied landing on Sicily in 1943.

It was his first CoC game and we chose scenario 1 to start with: The Patrol.
I had an additional bazooka team at my disposal in addition to my platoon, and the Italians would be supported by an L3 tankette.

Since my terrain mat for the Mediterranean is not ready yet, the mat for the Normandy Games had to suffice, which of course has far too many rich shades of green

Somewhere in Sicily in a (very) fertile valley with wheat fields, lined with date palm plantations and olive groves.

The inhabitants of the small village do not yet know that shots are about to shatter the silence of the morning.

The sun is just rising ...

One squad of my Airborne, supported by a Bazooka team and their 60mm mortar fight it out agains a full squad of Fucileri.

While the other squad of Fucileri take the village itself and entrench there.

My 2nd squad cautiously approaches the village using the olive grove as cover.

The L3 is nearing. A few moments later it will reach the center of the village and triggers an ambush of my 2nd Bazooka team (using a CoC Dice).

Although the Italians can hold the village, the losses and shocks accumulated during the fight are too much for the platoon in the olive grove on the hill: it breaks and rout from the table (turn ended).

With the loss of their complete left flank, the Force Morale of the Italians dropped to 0 and they had to retreat accordingly.
