Terrain: Trees trees trees, I´m ready for the good time 😅

Trees were next on my to-do list for 15mm terrain, so I built a first batch of them.

The starting material was armatures from Woodland Scenics, which I then modified (i.e. added branches), as well as complete self-made structures made of wire.
On the one hand I built the crowns out of coloured filter floss, which I then "leafed" with different flocks, on the other hand I tested new material: Lapp moss (also known as forest moss).

The latter did not convince me (yet), despite repeated treatment with terrain glue/deep ground it is not really as stable as the variants with filter floss - I will test here whether latex milk brings the desired effect.

Terrain: First Bocage and hedges for 15mm ready

My first Bocage and some normal hedges are now ready for our Battlegroup games that are set in the Normandy with many more to follow soon.

Top of the Bocages are made from coconut fibre flocked with different flocks from Woodland Scenics.

Lessons learned:
The bases for the Bocages needs to be much broader to better model the embankments that define the Bocages as such.
But for now I´m happy with the result.

Terrain: Another Battle Mat done for Normandy settings

Before I get into a new setting and/or rule system, like now in 15mm Battlegroup, it's first building terrain before I start on the figurines themselves.

I will start with a new battle mat, intended for games in Central European and North American areas, especially for games that are set in Normandy.

Material is a blanket made of teddy fleece, measuring 2m x 1,6m.

Finnish Squad: The completed force - not to be continued (at least in 28mm)

The complete squad incl. support by an MMG and a sniper at a glance.

At least in 28mm I will not continue it after my move to Bavaria and sell the squad, as my new teammates almost exclusively play Battlegroup in 15mm - but STL files are flexible in which size you print them 😎

28mm Painting: 2 Sniper and a downed female pilot as object marker

In the last few weeks I have had very little time due to the preparations for my move to Bavaria and only wanted to finish a few smaller projects beforehand.

These included a sniper for my Australians, a downed pilot as an object marker for our Operation Squad Evolution games and a sniper for my Winter War Finns.

Let's start with the downed female pilot, a resin figure from Warlord Games:

Next up, the Sniper for my Digger, a 3D print of a Commando Sniper by 3D Breed from the Kickstarter March To Hell - Europe in Flames:

And last but not least, the Sniper for my Finns, which concludes the small project and which I will not continue (at least in 28mm) and will sell the Squad.

Figure is from Warlord Games:
